Follow on Google News | The best way to stop glassing in pubs and barsPolysafe drinkware are in around 400 bars across Australia and this number is continuing to grow as more venues realise the importance of using Polysafe products- which look and feel like glass, but are safe.
“I can’t believe a member of the public, who was under the influence of alcohol, has caused harm to an on duty Policeman, last night”, said Paul Parks, Director, Polysafe. “This is the exact reason I decided to bring a range of virtually unbreakable, yet safe drinkware to Australia- made from a plastic which is used in bullet proof glass. When this type of drunken behavior might occur, our range of drinkware, will ensure glassing can’t occur”, Parks said. The products which include schooner and wine glasses, champagne flutes, tumblers and shot glasses are so strong they can even be run over by a 15 tonne truck, but they definitely wouldn’t allow anyone the chance to ‘glass’ another patron. This range of drinkware even weighs six times less than normal glass, making it even safer for use in areas where alcohol is consumed. Polysafe drinkware has been designed for heavy bar dishwashers and are scratch proof, so they won’t lose any of their look after being cleaned. They are now in around 400 bars across Australia and this number is continuing to grow as more venues realise the importance of using Polysafe products- which look and feel like glass, but are safe. “Our aim is very simple- we just want to stop glassing incidents from ever happening again. If plastic drinkware was used in bars and pubs after 9pm, we would go a long way to eradicating these horrible glassing incidents”, Parks concluded.
