By: Chris Hester Ross Medical Education Center with campuses in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia has a plan to help less fortunate families by holding its very first Build-A-Backpack Drive. Items collected will be used to benefit area school children at 22 Ross locations. “Our campuses have supported local schools in many ways, from participating in wellness clinics to adopting school families during the holidays,” said Shibu Thomas, EVP Marketing & Admissions, Ross. “The Build-A-Backpack Drive marks first time we’ve teamed up to benefit hundreds of kids simultaneously.” If you’d like to donate to the Ross Build-A-Backpack Drive, drop off your items at your local campus Monday – Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Campus locations are listed below. The Build-A-Backpack Drive is just one example of how Ross actively serves its many communities. The campuses participate in a variety of events throughout the year to benefit hospitals, women’s shelters, animal shelters, blood banks, soup kitchens and more. In March of this year, all campuses donated more than 21,000 items to local food pantries. In addition the school has supported a myriad of national organizations such as the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Habitat for Humanity, and United Way.
