technology solutions company Amper S.A., headquartered in Madrid, Spain. The agreement will globalize Black Creek’s line of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Tracking Systems and Correctional Security Touchscreen Systems by penetrating correctional markets worldwide through Amper’s existing sales channels. Amper is a Spanish multinational group that specializes in government defense security technology. The company is publically-traded on the Madrid Stock Exchange (AMP). Amper operates in America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, with headquarters in Madrid, Sao Paulo and Miami. The company currently has 28 offices in 19 countries. Recent achievements include contracts for AVG with Vietnam and correctional security acquisition in Brazil. Continued global demand for fully integrated touchscreen correctional security systems is expected to grow, as the value of RFID tracking is realized by detention facilities seeking a cost-effective solution for officer safety and a reduction in the cost of litigation. The Black Creek Super Display Touchscreen System now provides RFID screens that show the location of inmates and staff throughout the facility in real time. In addition, the system records location and proximity data to provide historical information for investigational purposes. Ike Newton, President of Black Creek Integrated Systems, said: “The collaboration between Amper and Black Creek will have a significant beneficial impact on correctional agencies in the market areas covered by the agreement as the result of improved operations, increased safety and security for the public, staff and inmates and reduced operational costs related to security in our customers’ facilities”.
