First Class Concepts Learns of Scottish Travel Boom

July 16, 2012 - PRLog -- The team at First Class Concepts don’t complain about the rain, (what’s the point!) but for those people trying to save some money this year and have a ‘Staycation’ the lack of any noticeable sun has made it pretty tough. So it came as no surprise to the Glasgow direct sales company that holidaymakers in Scotland are scrambling for last-minute deals. And as experts predict another week of rain ahead it seems that the rush is only going to get bigger.



Scottish travel agents have seen huge rises in last minute bookings with the last 3 weeks being between 20-25% up week on week compared to last year. First Class Concepts believes that the rain, coupled with much better currency rates for UK tourists in Europe, are both contributing to the boom.



Business might be booming for Scottish travel agents but tourist attractions in the country are suffering. A representative for First Class Concepts said, “People who have booked big holidays to come to Scotland, perhaps from the USA, will obviously still be making their trips. However day-trippers from  UK are staying away preferring indoor activities closer to home. We have so many fantastic outdoor attractions and beautiful countryside that can’t be enjoyed to their full in this weather.”



Despite the rain it’s business as usual for First Class Concepts. “Our clients have some big targets that they want us to hit for them over the summer months and we know that this isn’t a time for us to slow down. The exciting campaigns that we’re working on for them are really growing and the more people we can reach the better. We’re as busy as ever and really enjoying interacting with more and more customers as the summer holidays take hold. We’re on target for a record summer.”
