Redefining Teamwork: JPdL International delivers big for the 2012 Goldschmidt Conference

July 16, 2012 - PRLog -- What are the ingredients of a successful scientific event? If you asked the folks at JPdL International, they might say 3,000 abstracts, 12,000 paper authors, a team of nearly 10 people, and weeks of work. Those are just some of the numbers behind the Goldschmidt Conference, one of Montreal’s biggest events of 2012, and one of the world’s most respected in the field of geochemistry. JPdL International partnered with this prestigious conference to assist with a range of tasks, including registration, on-site logistics, and abstract management. The Conference is known for delivering a dense program of 160 sessions over the course of 5 days, and JPdL collaborated with the Scientific Committee to bring it all together.

Not only did the pros at JPdL set up a system for receiving all of the nearly 3,000 abstracts that were submitted, but they also coordinated the publication of a 600-page final program, as well as an abstract book, complete with an index of 12,000 authors. The team put in hundreds of hours to make sure the job got done, and JPdL’s Director of Operations, Marie-Josée Talarico could not be more pleased: “I am very proud of the team to have contributed to this very special event,” she says. “The value of Goldschmidt’s scientific program is incredible, and I thank the scientific committee for giving us such great material to work with.”

The Goldschmidt Conference took place from June 24th to 29th in Montreal, and attracted a total of 3,000 of geochemistry’s leading researchers and scientists. JPdL International is honoured to have been a part of such a prestigious event, and looks forward to collaborating with future Goldschmidt Conferences. In the meantime, the team is focused on a busy summer, with events that include the World Cancer Congress, and the International Congress of Meat Science and Technology.
