Dialysis Patients Need More Than Just Dialysis

you are helping dialysis patients in the Chattahoochee Valley area
obtain necessary medical attention they couldn’t otherwise afford.

Many dialysis patients are on fixed incomes and live below the poverty level. Dental care, vision care and medications are expensive services and are often neglected due to the patient’s lack of funds. For these reasons we, Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI), DaVita, and Fresenius, have established a fund to help offset the costs of these items. The fund has been named “The Black-Lockett-Scarbrough Fund” in memory of three nurses who dedicated their careers to helping dialysis patients. The fund is governed by the National Kidney Foundation and benefits dialysis patients in the Chattahoochee Valley area.

To generate money for the Black-Lockett-Scarbrough Fund, we are hosting a dinner and silent auction on July 28 at the Green Island Country Club, located at 6501 Standing Boy Rd. Columbus, GA. Tickets to this event are $50.00 per person and can be purchased by calling 706-323-2415.

Last year we raised $28,000. We are hoping to do even better this year.

Any monetary gift, service, or item that you could donate to our cause would be greatly appreciated. We are still looking for items for the silent auction. All sponsors will be displayed at the charity dinner via banner or table cards.

Checks should be made payable to The National Kidney Foundation with the words Black-Lockett-Scarborough Fund in the memo section.
