Nzimiro Oputa Of NBC’s Fashion Star Among The Hosts Of IADT-Detroit’s Imagine Fashion Show

July 24, 2012 - PRLog -- The International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT-Detroit) is proud to announce the guest hosts of its annual student fashion show, Imagine, on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. The IMAGINE 2012 guest hosts are: menswear designer William Malcolm, Styleline Magazine editor Karen Buscemi and menswear designer Nzimiro Oputa of NBC’s Fashion Star.

"It is an absolute honor to be a part of the 2012 IMAGINE Fashion Show,” said Nzimiro Oputa menswear designer and finalist on NBC’s Fashion Star.  “I am beyond ecstatic to host my first ever fashion show in my hometown Detroit, this speaks volumes to the love and support that Detroit exudes, I am excited for this event! I am looking forward to being inspired by the gifted, talented and creative students of IADT."

Nzimiro, who hails from Detroit, grew up at Warren and Outer Drive on Detroit's East Side and attended Crockett High School and Michigan State University.

“I am always inspired by the talented students of IADT Detroit,” said William Malcolm, menswear designer and luxury brand consultant. “The instructors do a great job of assisting the students to cultivate their talent. I have been a part of IMAGINE for three years now and every year I am blown away by the pure talent of the students.”

Imagine is an annual student fashion show, now in its eighth year, featuring original designs by students in the Fashion Design and Fashion Design and Merchandising programs at IADT’s Detroit (Troy) campus.
