Bebortha offers a wealth of industry knowledge based on his years of experience in the global solar industry. Combined with REC Solar’s increased sales activities and the new office in India, this will help REC further penetrate this booming new market. REC estimates that India has a potential of 12 GW of solar projects by 2016 which is in line with the National Solar Mission launched by Indian Government in 2010. Their aim is to create a solar capacity of 20 GW by the year 2020. “We are very pleased to welcome Shailendra Mohan Bebortha as Managing Director for REC Systems India. Previously he was Director with Epuron Renewable Energy India, where he worked primarily with finance and strategy projects. Bebortha holds a Masters degree in Business Administration and a post-graduate diploma in International Trade Laws. End
