From HBO gangster to children’s educational all star. Actor Tray Chaney and EduBasics

Aug. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- August 10, 2012 – Washington D.C. – After over a decade of national exposure, entertaining and teaching Maryland-based De-U Records, Inc. the producers of the Edu Basics product line has a new front man Tray Chaney of the HBO series “The Wire”.  Edubasics has, rapidly become an icon in the children’s educational arena and is loved by tens of thousands of children worldwide. The products are hosted by two oversized cute and cuddly cartoon costumed characters Dezmo and Addy.

David Printis, President and CEO of De-U Records says “I’ve known Tray for a long time were from the same area. We have talked about doing something together but the timing wasn’t right. I meet with Tray a few weeks ago and we both decided that now is the time”.

Tray Chaney has been keeping busy since his HBO project staring in a host of independent film projects many of which have received national distribution deals he also has an up and coming music career. One of his songs “Radical Readers” a positive rap song that inspires kids to read is currently getting a lot of buzz on the internet and being played on radio stations on the east coast.

Actor Tray Chaney states “I think we have found a perfect match the Edu Basics music and characters are hot and children love them, and my music is all about the kids.  The bottom line is this it’s all about our kids.  What we are trying to do is provide positive images, music and role models for our youth were not going to sit around and wait for someone to do it for us we’ll do it if we have to do it one child at a time. “
