In addition to the more traditional behind-the-firewall client server installations, Galleria can provide each solution as a hosted service, a rapidly-deployed desktop solution, or as a pure consulting service.

Galleria’s Chief Technology Officer Mike Humphreys says that  any of Galleria’s solutions can be installed on desktop or laptop computers, no SQL server is required and each user maintains his/her own data on their own desktop – with sharing made possible through exporting data.

“A desktop edition can connect to Galleria Foundation Services via a connector, allowing for greater involvement in collaborative projects, along with access to shared data and projects,” he said.  “For example, if a retailer or vendor wants a Strategic Assortment solution, they only require a desktop computer.  The information will be at their fingertips, and Galleria will provide all the required technology to get the retailer started.”
Humphreys adds that the hosted, desktop or consulting approach will enable small-to-midsize retailers to enjoy the extensive proven benefits from using Galleria’s software solutions.
