FARRELL & PATEL Supports Surfrider Foundation Through Facebook Fundraising Campaign

(August 14, 2012) ⎯ Farrell & Patel, Attorneys at Law, one of the recognized leaders representing plaintiffs in the BP Oil Spill Settlement, has recently begun a philanthropic campaign to help provide funds to Surfrider Foundation, an organization striving to preserve all national, as well as international, oceans, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network.

With offices in Miami, Tampa, Houston and New Orleans, Farrell & Patel currently represents over 2,500 clients whose businesses have been adversely affected by the Deepwater Horizon explosion. The firm hopes to seek further justice for afflicted business owners by donating $1 to the Emerald Coast (FL) Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation for every “Like” Farrell & Patel receives on its Facebook page.

“Our firm is committed to supporting the Surfrider Foundation and their ongoing mission to restore the health of the Gulf shores,” said Farrell & Patel founding partner Wesley Farrell. “Surfrider works diligently to save the water and beaches that BP nearly destroyed, and we are on board to support their efforts,” he added.

“Farrell & Patel has been working tirelessly with those who were affected by the Deepwater Horizon incident, and we could not be more appreciative of their support to raise funds for the Surfrider Foundation,” said Alexis Henry, Surfrider Foundation’s Communications Manager.  “The money raised from their Facebook campaign will directly benefit our Emerald Coast Chapter to continue testing for oil and dispersants in the Gulf and on the beaches.”

As part of the organization’s overarching mission to protect all oceans, waves and beaches, Surfrider Foundation states that for every $1 given to the cause, 85 cents goes directly to the Foundation’s programs and campaigns, which support efforts to preserve beach access, prevent beach loss, protect special places and eliminate ocean water pollution.
