Aug. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Rob Amchin has three highly regarded books of recorder ensemble music. "Recorder Frolics", for beginners, "Moods and Modes" for beginning to intermediate with Orff instrument arrangements, and "Alto Antics" for beginning alto recorder instruments.

Michael R. Nichols has written or co-written five books for various levels of recorder playing.  "Let's Sing and Play a Dozen" has Orff instrument arrangements and lesson plans with every song including a part for beginning recorder players.  "Christian Harmony" is a unique SATB recorder consort book based on the Southern Harmony shaped note tradition.  "The Beatin' Path Consort Collections" are great arrangements for a beginning to adult SATB recorder consort.

David Krosner has written a great new book called "Race Around the World." He's arranged folk songs from around the world and combined them with an elementary social studies curriculum to create a wonderful integrated learning experience for students.  Each song has a full Orff instrument accompaniment written by Brent Holl and Michael Nichols.  David has developed a web site to go along with the book that has tons of supplemental materials about each country "visited."

All of these great recorder materials are available NOW from Beatin' Path Publications.
