Houston Apartment Award Presented for Just Fourth Time in 52 Years

Aug. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- HOUSTON, Texas – For only the fourth time in the 52 year history of the Houston Apartment Association (HAA), the organization will present its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award to a supplier of the multifamily industry. Kenneth J. Bohan is President and CEO of The Liberty Group (http://www.thelibertygroup.com), a Houston-headquartered executive search, staffing, and personnel firm. Mr. Bohan will receive the award at a luncheon on Thursday, August 23, at Hotel Derek in Houston.

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes Mr. Bohan’s track record of dedicated service to the multifamily industry. An active HAA member since 1976, Mr. Bohan was sworn in as President of the group’s Product Service Council in 1988. The following year, Mr. Bohan was appointed by the HAA as a Houston delegate to the National Apartment Association (NAA), representing the interests of the multifamily industry in Washington.

In June of 2012, Mr. Bohan was appointed by Mayor Annise Parker to the City of Houston Planning Commission, where he studies development issues within the city and makes recommendations to the Houston City Council. “Ken Bohan has an impressive list of accomplishments that reflect his passion for community service,” said Mayor Parker in the August 2012 issue of the HAA’s Abode Magazine (http://www.haaonline.org/abode/). “His steadfast involvement in the community has made an impression on us all, and we know Houston is a better city with residents like Ken around.”
