Survive the Drive presents Garage Tour 2012 with Posy, Sharp and Dyson

Aug. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Survive the Drive, dedicated to motivating and informing teenage drivers to understand and adopt safe driving behaviors, is offering car and racing enthusiasts a unique opportunity to visit with three luminaries of racing’s past and contemporary scene.

•   Saturday, September 15, 2 - 4 PM - Meet Sam Posey - SCCA, Trans-AM, IMSA, Indy 500, Formula 5000, Le Mans, NASCAR, and Formula One, Sam Posey has competed in an extraordinary number of race venues.  
Spend two hours with Sam and learn about and discuss what it was like to race with the likes of Jackie Stewart, Mark Donohue, and Peter Revson.

•   Saturday, October 13, 2 - 4 PM - Meet Bob Sharp  - the man behind Bob Sharp Racing, probably the single most successful Datsun racing team of all time. Between sedans and Z cars, Sharp holds six national SCCA championships. Jim Fitzgerald, Brad Frisselle, Elliot Forbes-Robinson, and Paul Newman won many races and a long list of championships in BSR Datsuns.

•   Saturday, November 17, 2 - 4 PM - Meet Chris Dyson - Chris Dyson is a professional American LeMans Series driver and team owner of Dyson Racing. In 2011 Dyson and Guy Smith won the IMSA LMP1 drivers' championship. For 2012, Dyson is defending his title in a new Lola B12/60 Mazda.  
Spend time touring the Dyson Racing Shop in Poughkeepsie and get an insider’s look at what it takes to run a top level race team.
