Abiento - Expands Online Women`s Clothing And Accessories Experience

 
Aug. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Only three months ago we reviewed abiento`s soon to be released Luxury Lingerie Range so we thought it was time to revisit them and find out if this exciting womens' style- based website has moved on or if it is just resting on its laurels.

A quick Google search for abiento now shows a multitude of results pages, likewise for the other major search engines such as Yahoo. During our last review we found only a smattering of results and is indicative of a major jump in the popularity of this website.

The homepage view gives a wide selection of Womens Clothing and Accessories via the usual clickable tabs so nothing new or too exciting there. What we did find exciting was once you started navigating their site.

We now find that there are over 40 retailers products to choose from along with some great product comparison features, interactive Money Off Voucher Codes and cute tricks like being able to view their website in any one of 60 major languages.

Speaking to abiento`s Tracey Walsh we asked her to summarise what has been happening at abiento since our last review.

Walsh explains, " When I first joined abiento, I was impressed with the enthusiasm and drive of the owners and their vision of a website where women can visit and have a choice of stylish clothes and accessories from a range of  the best retailers; whilst not necessarily having to spend a fortune to obtain that great looking outfit.

I was given the task of identifying retailers that fit in with the owners' philosophy, reviewing their products and then integrating them with abiento to give the best possible choice for our expanding customer base from  the UK and around the World"

So you are not just targeting UK customers?

"On the contrary" says Walsh, " Our visitor statistics shows a whole range of customers from every continent hence the addition of our instant website translator feature and our push on our retailers to offer Free Worldwide Shipping on their products.

Wallis, CC Fashion and Austin Reed are already on board with this and we find from feedback from our customers that this encourages them to buy from "foreign" suppliers.

After all, if you want to go to a party or a special occasion and don`t want to turn up wearing the same outfit as somone else, where better to get your outfit than a retailer from another country? "

We tested the online translator and although I am not fluent in Swahili ( our selected language), abiento`s website was instantly translated into this language. I never knew 'Bure' in Swahili means 'Free', until today!

Okay, so what else has abiento been up to?

Walsh goes on to say, " Well, our company is based upon giving our customers a choice, so our software engineers have developed a fab feature when you click on a products "More Details" tab. You will then not only be presented with a description of your chosen product and the price, but also a list of similar styled, not the same,  products from our other retailers.

This gives our customers a great opportunity to  view a choice of products on one page without the need to trawl our website. It is just one of our ongoing improvements aimed at a better customer experience. Abiento is all about adding value to a customers visit to our site"

We noticed some travel based news articles on abiento. What is the reasoning behind this? Surely abiento is about clothes not travel?

" That is correct, in a way" says Walsh. " Our owners not only love stylish clothes but also love to travel, watch out for their South African Clothes Article when they return next week by the way, so they encourage the staff to write articles about what they have seen, what people in that country are wearing, what looks great and in some cases what doesn`t!

We have a recent article on Northern Italy which gives our customers ideas on what is being worn and how they can maybe incorporate other countries styles into their outfits. It gets back to my point on abiento giving a customer choice" adds Walsh.

You mentioned that you were tasked to review and bring in new retailers to abiento. Any examples and why they were chosen?

"Well, we believe that anyone at any stage of their life can look fabulous and we had  lots of feedback from customers on why we did not showcase any maternity clothes. We looked long and hard at a variety of retailers but settled on Crave Maternity due to their policy on stylish maternity clothes.

You will find many retailers supply maternity wear but very few seem to be aware that women at this time still want to look gorgeous, so offer very functional clothes. Crave Maternity we found, was an exception so that is why we linked up with them.

We have also aded Idlewild London, Bedtime Flirt, Forever Unique and many others all on the premise of their stylish offerings to our customers at reasonable prices as well as top end products".

I believe Tommy Hilfiger approached abiento to showcase their products. Is that true?

"Yes, it is.We were very pleased when our owner was contacted, but with all due respect to Tommy Hilfiger, they were reviewed just like any of our other retailers before we agreed to link up with them to make sure that they were offering the type of product abiento customers expect.

We are pleased to say that they do and they have some absolutely stunning clothes, shoes and accessories with some very subtle and clever branding".

So abiento does march on! We were impressed with the new additions to their website,the enthusiasm of their staff and their company policy of total customer focus. Let`s hope they keep up the good work.!
