Race to the Finish - Scholarship Fundraiser & Geneva Farrow's Birthday Celebration

Aug. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- On Saturday Sept 8th 7:30- 11pm at Katra Lounge in New York City's lower east side, Geneva Farrow, the Executive Director and Founder of A Young Mother's D.R.E.A.M. will be celebrating her 32nd birthday with a party for a purpose to raise funds for a college scholarship for young mom, Octavia Davis.

As a mentoring program for young mothers, our goal at A Young Mother's D.R.E.A.M is to provide a support system that will assist them with setting goals, making better choices and ultimately completing both their HS and college educations. Our first cycle of mentoring ended successfully with us awarding over $5,000 in college scholarships to young mothers attending college this fall.  We strive to continue mentoring and providing scholarships to young mothers like Octavia Davis.

Join Geneva Farrow and supporters of A Young Mother's D.R.E.A.M. as they strive to raise $3,000 for Octavia Davis, a 17yr old mom who will be graduating HS in June. Octavia is running with Geneva in the ING NYC marathon this November on behalf of A Young Mother's D.R.E.A.M. to raise money for her own college scholarship.
