The Set NYC Kicks Off Fashion Week NYC with After Party to Benefit "Restore"

Aug. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- New York, Aug 30, 2012  The Set NYC hosts Fashion Week 2012 with an after party to benefit Restore, a non-profit that helps victims of sex-slave trafficking. Designers featured include Berit New York, Ferknot, Lorimay Rodriguez, Dopehouse and Pauletta Brooks. Special gifts by GrandCentralBeauty (www.grandcentralbeauty.com) with DJ J Hooks.

Restore works to help sex trafficking survivors integrate back into society as whole individuals (www.restorenyc.org). Restore NYC's mission is to end sex trafficking in New York and restore the well-being and independence of foreign-national survivors. Working to this end, we deliver complete care, addressing physical, emotional and spiritual needs; provide community and safe, long-term housing; empower survivors when they cooperate with law enforcement; increase awareness and understanding in the greater community; and advocate for effective policies and legislation.

The Set NYC holds events in New York City and their mission is to support the growth and healing of NYC through fashion, events, music, and performances. We welcome media correspondence and potential partnerships to Sea Meatpacking (835 Washington St) on Sept 7, 2012 evening beginning 9:00 PM.

Berít New York revels in complex designs, rich fabrics and historically inspired pieces. Britney Frady-Williams, the founder and designer at Berít New York, earned her AAS degree in Fashion Design from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology. Berít New York has shown their Spring-Summer and Autumn-Winter 2011 collections at London Fashion Week, and has been featured in major publications including the New York Times, Bust magazine, Italian Marie Claire, Time Out New York, Alt Fashion UK, and the premiere issue Tantalum Magazine. www.beritnewyork.com.

FERKNOT - a luxury fashion brand launched in 2010 to high acclaim was founded with the goal of returning a focus to craftsmanship and impeccable tailoring.
