The onboard diagnostic II (ODB-II Store: http://www.xcar360.com  ) system is the vehicle's self-diagnostic tool found on all VW vehicles made since 1996. This system differs from the earlier OBD-I system, which created vehicle-specific diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). On the OBD-II system, DTCs are standardized, allowing you to read and understand the meaning of the code no matter what vehicle that you own.
