John Marshall Bank Expands Alexandria Presence

Sept. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- [Alexandria, VA] [September 5, 2012] – Today John Marshall Bank welcomed Charles “Charlie” K. Collum, Jr., to its team of executive leaders.  Mr. Collum will be based in John Marshall Bank’s Alexandria office as an executive officer.

Charlie Collum joined Burke and Herbert Bank in 1971.   Hired by David Burke, Collum’s first job was assistant vice president, and over the years the rest is history.  Collum became chairman of Burke and Herbert in 2003, and only the second non-Burke to serve in that position over its 150 year history.  

Collum resides in Alexandria.  He and his wife, Sandi, have two grown sons.  Charlie attended St. Mary’s School in Old Town from kindergarten to eighth grade and launched his banking career in 1960 after graduating from St. John’s College High School.

Collum’s decision to play an executive role in John Marshall Bank is seen as a demonstration of John Marshall Bank’s strength and commitment to the Alexandria community.  The young bank has five branches, a loan production office in Alexandria and one in the District of Columbia. John Marshall Bank’s corporate offices are in Reston.
