22nd Annual NAACP Theatre Awards Will Be Held On November 5, 2012

Sept. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- The NAACP Beverly Hills/Hollywood Branch’s 22nd Annual NAACP Theatre Awards will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 6PM at the famous Directors Guild of America in Hollywood, California. Since 1990, the distinguished awards show continues to honor theater professionals for their astonishing achievements in entertainment and on Broadway.

This year’s awards show will honor the late Willis Edwards, Co-Founder, former Vice President, and Civil Rights activist who passed away this July. The show will also feature four honorees, three theatrical acts and one musical performance. In addition, the awards show celebratory activities will include a four-day theater festival the weekend immediately prior.

The awards show considers all candidates who submit their production from January 2011 through December 2011 for possible nomination. All productions must have a five consecutive week production run in Southern California (San Diego to Bakersfield acceptable) to be considered. Productions who meet all eligibility requirements before the deadline are considered eligible for a 2012 NAACP Theatre Award.
