Follow on Google News | Lennar Hires David Stanton As Virginia ControllerStanton will manage the division’s finances in all of its residential developments
By: Erwin Penland for Lennar Stanton, who brings 23 years of financial experience to Lennar, will manage finances for the division, which includes residential developments in the Virginia suburbs of metropolitan Washington, D.C., as well as Fredericksburg and Williamsburg. Prior to joining Lennar, Stanton was vice president of finance at Apartment Investment and Management Co. (AIMCO), where he worked on budgets and acquisitions. He previously worked at Centex Homes, where he was instrumental in valuation of potential competitive acquisitions as the national land division vice president of finance. Stanton also held positions with publicly traded builders Toll Brothers Inc. and Technical Olympic USA. Stanton attended York College in Pennsylvania, receiving a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and earned his MBA in finance at Drexel University.
