Follow on Google News | Buffalo NY Music Acts Prominently Featured at Niagara Celtic Festival This Weekend.Buffalo NY Celtic bands get ready to perform for Niagara Celtic Festival This weekend September 15-16 in Olcott, NY.
By: Niagara Celtic Heritage Society Other Buffalo based acts playing the festival this year include the Celtic Spirit Pipe Band, Poor Ould Goat, and the Niagara Frontier Fiddle Club. Established in 1999, The Celtic Spirit Pipe Band is planning to have their new album "Heartland" available for the first time at the festival. They perform at 10:30 AM on Sunday September 16. Poor Ould Goat performs a unique combination of traditional Celtic music, sea chanteys and original music. On their Facebook page they list their interests as "fine beers, good music, and wacky hijinks. They perform at 12:30 PM Sunday September 16 on the Glen Stage. The Niagara Frontier Fiddle Club is a massive group of fiddlers from the Buffalo area that play traditional Irish and Scottish music. If you want to listen to the type of traditional music that inspired modern day performers like Mumford and Sons and Flogging Molly, they are a band you will want to see. They perform on Sunday September 16 at 10:30 AM on the Pavilion Stage. There are plenty of other great bands from the Rochester area and Ontario Canada performing at the festival this year as well.
