PricewaterhouseCoopers certifies AEB‘s compliance solution

Sept. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- AEB (International) Ltd, a leading provider of supply chain logistics software, has announced that its compliance solution has been audited and certified by  PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the world’s largest professional services and public audit firm. This makes AEB one of the few software companies whose software has been certified by a public auditing firm.  

AEB’s compliance solution is a powerful tool that helps businesses to prevent possible export controls violations, secure and automate their global trade processes, and ensure compliance with EU anti-terrorism regulations.

Increasing national and international regulatory requirements for export controls, sanction list screening and U.S. re-export law present major challenges for businesses. PWC certifies that with AEB’s compliance solution, businesses can:
• Correctly and accurately process all required checks of stored denied-party lists and “good-guy“ lists accordingly.
• Reproduce all checks and access fully documented histories.
• Trace the processing and results of checks over a specific period of time.

The audit process put all relevant products to the test: ASSIST4 Compliance & Risk Management; ATC :: Compliance; and COMPLIANCE||XPRESS; including the sanctions list screening, EU export controls, and U.S. EAR export controls modules.  

PwC‘s auditors had access to AEB‘s test systems and conducted interviews with AEB developers and product managers. In addition to examining the software’s functionality, they also took into account the data service, documentation and the development and quality assurance processes.

Claire Umney, General Manager at AEB (International) Ltd, describes the auditing process: “The PwC auditors scrutinised the scripts of release testing, analysed business test cases and reviewed technical design documents to verify the sustainability and quality of our product development. The auditors were interested in when and how changes are incorporated into the software, how these can be traced, and ultimately, how quality assurance is accomplished.”
