First of all, I would like to thank my parents, Steve and Carmella, for their unconditional love and support, and for nurturing my mind, body, and spirit to be strong and withstand the many trials of this life. I love you both forever and ever.

Katy Acitelli, my other half, you are by far my favorite person in this world. Thank you for always supporting me in my poetic efforts, and for making me the happiest girl in the world with your every word and action. You will always be in my heart.

Jessica Livermore, my dear friend and confidante, you are a gentle, loving soul, and yet, one of the most resilient (and brilliant) people I have ever met. Thank you for standing by me through everything that has happened this past year. I believe you truly are a non-prodigy reincarnation of Mozart.

Julia Neyshloss, you will always be much more than a friend. You never fail to stun me with your humor, musical elegance, and beauty from the inside out. You helped make this apartment a home. Thank you for taking care of me always. Here's to many more adventures with you, Cookie!

Patrick Monson, you are a special man indeed. Though incredibly busy with your family and multiple jobs, you manage to be there for me night and day, offering encouragement and advice. Thank you for always telling me what I need to hear, and for picking me up when I am down. Nancy and Raelynn are so lucky to have you!

Lauren Castro, you have made me laugh harder than anyone. You're one of my most understanding, down-to-earth friends, and I can't wait to make many more memories with you! Thank you for playing the accordion beside me during the rough times. . .and thank you for allowing me to be my dorky self around you.

Cal Poly Music Majors and Faculty, you are the dearest, most talented and loving family a girl could ask for. No amount of time will cause me to forget you.

Albertsons Managers and Employees on East Foothill Boulevard, you are the best co-workers on the planet! Thanks for making it an easy year for me in terms of work, as you have all kept me going strong. I am grateful for your kindness and consideration, but
most of all, your constant compassion both on and off the clock.

Finally, I would like to acknowledge fellow author James Ullrich, though I'm not sure how to accurately convey my feelings, so I'll keep it short and simple—dear heart, we found love in a hopeless place. Thank you for never giving up on that.
