Follow on Google News | Council is raising ambitions for South AyrshireThe next stage of South Ayrshire Council’s transformation journey is underway. The Council has agreed a programme of work to Raise its Ambition and to ensure that it is fit for the challenges which lie ahead for all public sector organisations.
Councillor Bill McIntosh, Leader of South Ayrshire Council (pictured below) said: “South Ayrshire Council has improved considerably in recent years but the challenges faced by all public sector organisations are immense. The financial outlook is anything but rosy. As an organisation we have to be able to respond to these financial challenges at the same time as responding to demand pressures caused by changing demographics and to rising customer expectations. We also have to adapt to other major changes in the public sector. “Change is endemic in the public sector, and South Ayrshire Council needs to be able to respond to these changes in a flexible and adaptable way. It is time to embark on the next wave of our transformation journey. It is time to Raise our Ambitions for South Ayrshire.” Councillor McIntosh concluded: “South Ayrshire Council will be undertaking a significant programme of engagement in the coming months on strategic priorities. I’d encourage everyone to take part. We want to hear your views and this is your chance to influence the future of services in South Ayrshire.” http://www.south- South Ayrshire Council is a Founder Member of the Elite Ayrshire Business Circle.
