The Atlanta cast of Steel Magnolias, Fashionista’ “Steel Magnolias” premieres on LIFETIME Channel, Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 9:00 pm EST. “Steel Magnolias” is a remake of the original 1989 classic “Steel Magnolias” with an African-American cast. Michael Beasley co-stars as ‘Spud.’ “Steel Magnolias” also stars Academy Award nominee, Queen Latifah as ‘M’Lynn’ About Michael Beasley MICHAEL BEASLEY IS A RISING STAR! Michael is one of Hollywood's “Hardest Working Actors.” His list of accomplishments includes a recurring role in STARZ's new TV series “Magic City” as “Grady James.” He is also working as ‘Boo’ in a BET movie of the week, “The Start Up” starring Diggy Simmons.
