the Function of Drilling Fluids

Oct. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- In the process of drilling, the drilling fluid is used for circulating rinse medium. The drilling fluid is known as drilling blood, also known as drilling flushing fluid. The drilling fluid composition can be divided into water, mud, clay phase flushing fluid, emulsion, foam, and compressed air. The clean water is the earliest drilling fluid in history.  No need to deal with, easy to use, and apply to the complete rock formations and plenty of water areas. Mud is widely used in the drilling fluid, mainly applied to loose, fractured, easy Clasping water swelling flaking hole wall unstable rock formations.

However, there are also some Negative effects,Drilling fluids may damage the oil and gas layer in the course of drilling in some degree.mainly in:
(1) solid-phase particles and cake clogging oil and gas channel;
(2) Filtrate liquid plug formation pore formation clay swelling;
(3) drilling fluid filtrate ion the strata ions precipitate clogged the channel;
(4) water lock effect, the increase in oil and gas flow resistance.
