Follow on Google News | Halloween Brings Creepy Books About Hammond CastleThe Massachusetts Historic Site Supplies Shivers on the Printed Page
By: The Quincannon Publishing Group Echoes from the Castle Walls is a collection of short stories actually written by John Hays Hammond, Jr., the inventor who built Hammond Castle to serve as his laboratory and residence. At the encouragement of his father’s friend, Rudyard Kipling, Hammond dabbled in writing fiction and all of his stories—all previously unpublished— The Ghosts of Hammond Castle recounts years of ghostly happenings at the castle. Such paranormal occurrences seem to be tied to the antique architectural elements incorporated in the building as well as the artifacts in the museum collection. The incidents are told in a "sitting ’round-the campfire” style by Hammond biographer John Dandola. The entire line of Hammond Castle books (including two mystery novels which prominently feature John Hays Hammond, Jr., and the castle) can be viewed and ordered at http://www.quincannongroup.com/ End
