Follow on Google News | Travco Reaps No. 1 Award For The 16th Year RunningMinistry of Tourism Awards Five Travco Group subsidiaries on World Tourism Day for Outstanding Performance and Significant Contribution to the Industry.
Travco’s relentless efforts to promote Egyptian Tourism have been culminated by the Ministry’s “No. 1 Travel Company” award for the 16th year in a row. Travco Travel has generated the highest tourism revenue to the country by attracting more than one million tourists for 2011. The award was received by Mrs. Amani El Torgoman, CEO Travco group of travel and transport companies. Additionally Touring International, another Travco Group subsidiary, received the award for occupying the 8th position amongst the awarded travel companies and the award was presented to Ehab Wanas, Tourism Manager. Another award of excellence was presented to Amgad El Gendy, General Manager Travco Transport and Limousine companies in recognition for the company’s stringent safety measures and its consistently reliable service across its fleet. On the hospitality side, Jaz Hotels, Resorts & Cruises, Travco Group’s hospitality arm, received two awards; one for Iberotel hotels in the Red Sea for their environmental consciousness and the leadership and innovation in their sustainability approach. Another was presented to the 5-star deluxe Nile Cruise ship, Jaz Minerva, and was received by Adel Abadeer, operations manager for Travcotels. Commenting on the awards, Hamed El Chiaty, chairman Travco Group International Holding says, “It is always a great honor to be able to contribute to the Egyptian economy in any way possible.” He adds, “Egypt is a wonderful destination where tourists can enjoy its diverse tourist product and warm hospitality all year long and I feel there is plenty to be done to see this destination a leading getaway.
