Oct. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Inspired Children’s music and sing along song, “Read A Book” single, was released to motivate children and adults of all ages to read a book and fight for children’s literacy. According to UNICEF, of the almost one billion people entering the new century are unable to read or write and two thirds of them are adult women.

The children’s music song was inspired by children’s book Authors Anthony M.T. Majewski and Maximus “Max” an English Labrador of the award winning children's book series “Read With Max.” For anyone not familiar with Max, he is the English Labrador dog who helps children manage real-life experiences from his point of view. Max is also the first animal and dog to be signed with the music recording label Center Sound Records, Inc. out of Raleigh, North Carolina.

Award winning and Emmy® nominated writer/composer Craig Brandwynne teamed up with writer, Mike Grant, to help Majewski and Max produce “Read A Book” theme and children’s music sing along song. “Read a Book,” is a radio friendly mix with foot tapping beats. It is family friendly and easy to listen and dance too. “Let me take you on a journey, far away from here, there are places to go and people to meet as we travel through the years,” Sings Marissa Begin.

“Read A Book” single is performed by high school student, actress, songwriter and singer Marissa Carly Begin on Center Sound Records. Marissa was very excited to been personally asked to perform this important song to help with children around the world fight for children’s literacy. Begin says, "I love to sing and act. I started singing at the age of seven and I’ve been in numerous plays and musicals since then. My skills as an actress and singer rely on having the ability to read scripts and sheet music. I think Max’s message is extremely important and I am honored to sing as well support his efforts."

Majewski and Max plan on continuing to promote literacy by writing additional books on subject matters children can relate with, hosting their annual fundraising book-a-thon event for a charity, and encouraging teachers, parents and children to participate in reading book clubs, contests, and music videos creations to encourage the importance of reading, learning, and music.

Max has been recognized for inspiring fundraising and charitable efforts with his “Read With Max” series by United State Senator Debbie Stabenow, United States Congressman Sander Levin, and the current State of Michigan Governor Rick Snyder.

“Read A Book” is now available on iTunes, CDBaby, and Amazon under artist Marissa Begin.

Max, Center Sound Records, and the recording artist Marissa Begin, have agreed that a portion of the proceeds from each sale of “Read A Book” original children’s music single will be donated to children’s and animal charities of their choice.
