Eye Centers of Florida Welcomes Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeon Allison Bertram Yee, M.D.

Oct. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Eye Centers of Florida is pleased to announce that ophthalmic plastic surgeon Allison Bertram Yee, M.D., has joined the practice and will see patients in the Aesthetic Center located at 4101 Evans Avenue in Fort Myers. She begins her new career at Eye Centers of Florida on Monday, October 22, 2012.

Dr. Yee (http://www.ecof.com/about/our-doctors/allison-bertram-yee-m.d.-ophthalmic-plastic-surgeon/) has dedicated her professional life to combining two of her passions: art and medicine. As a fourth-generation ophthalmologist, she comes from a long line of talented ophthalmic surgeons. After graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Art History and pursuing fine arts, Dr. Yee found the perfect blend of medicine and the aesthetic arts in ophthalmic plastic surgery.

Born in California, Dr. Yee spent the majority of her childhood in Indianapolis, Indiana. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Dr. Yee completed her ophthalmology residency and specialized fellowship training at Indiana University in Indianapolis. While practicing oculoplastic surgery in Indianapolis, she actively participated in resident training and devoted a large portion of her practice treating US veterans at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center.

Also during her fellowship training, Dr. Yee developed a passion and talent for cosmetic facial surgery. Being primarily focused around the eyes, she developed a skill for restoring a more youthful, yet natural, appearance to the face. In addition to surgical treatments, Dr. Yee is also skilled in the non-surgical art of facial rejuvenation.
