Dr. Eben Alexander III To Appear at Forever Family Foundation Afterlife Conference

Oct. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Dr. Eben Alexander III, a world renowned neurosurgeon who "came back from the dead" after falling into a coma, will be presenting at the Sixth Annual Afterlife Conference of Forever Family Foundation, entitled "Is The Spirit World Real?" The two-day conference will be held on November 10-11, 2012 at the Hilton Phoenix Airport Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Alexander, whose book "Proof of Heaven" was released today, is a skilled surgeon whose medical training left little room for the possibility that minds could survive physical death. In 2008 he succumbed to an extremely rare form of bacterial meningitis that affects one in every ten million adults. After his sixth day in a coma, his medical team saw no hope of his survival, and his family prepared to discontinue medical intervention.

Dr. Alexander did awaken from his coma, and eventually made a complete recovery. While in a coma with a brain that was rendered useless by the bacteria that attacked it, he had a profound near death experience in which he traveled to other realms. He suddenly realized that his medical and academic training were sorely lacking in an understanding of consciousness.

Dr. Alexander is now compelled to let others know about his newly gained knowledge and insights. His hope is to change worldview about death, not only among the general public, but within his own medical profession.

He serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of Forever Family Foundation, a not for profit organization that shares similar views in educating the public about evidence of survival.
