Cederick Tardy: 'New Book' Young Men Need Discipline, Order, and Respect for Authority

Oct. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Cederick Tardy, now a writer, entrepreneur, public speaker, and mentor to young men and single mothers, hasn’t always been the best role model.

Raised by a single mother in Houston, TX, Tardy became involved with drugs and alcohol early in life. After being arrested five times, running away to Louisiana to deal dope, and attempting suicide, Tardy made the life-changing decision to join the U.S. Navy in 2003.

There he learned discipline, order, and respect for authority and education. He began college, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in finance in 2007. That same year, he earned an honorable discharge from the Navy and also published his first two books: The Big Payback and A Head Start.

Tardy went on to found STRONG (Strengthening, Training, and Redefining Our Next Generation) Incorporated, which aims to develop a new generation of young leaders and to create at least 500 family-operated businesses in low- to middle-income women-led homes.

He is also the president of Cederick Tardy Enterprises, LLC, which is dedicated to creating information products that teach mothers how to raise their sons to be leaders.

Though he does not blame his parents for any of his mistakes, Tardy is committed to ensuring that other families know how to make better choices.

Tardy has turned his troubled past into a story of hope for single mothers and their sons, and he has devoted his life to helping other young men avoid making the same mistakes. Nearly 80 percent of incarcerated men are sons of single mothers. Tardy aims to lower that statistic.

In his latest books, The Seven Secrets and A Flying Start, Tardy presents the idea of a Dream Team, where mother and son work together towards mutually beneficial goals.
