Follow on Google News | Arthaus Art Director, James Bacchi on The Wrighter“As a writer and collector, I do consider myself an artist.” – James Bacchi
By: Selah Haki Bacchi and Annette Schutz opened ArtHaus in San Francisco's historic Nob Hill in 1996. Since then, the gallery has relocated to 411 Brannon Street, in San Francisco, California. When asked about his favorite artist, Bacchi responded, “While I have many favorites, Donald Roller Wilson ranks high. His narrative which accompanies his masterful execution of personafied animals appeals to me as a writer and collector.” On the discussion about his interests outside of art, Bacchi stated, “Contemporary design, from industrial to automobile to functional – can’t see enough. Milan rules. This, old school R&B and brainstorming with colleagues, and of course – my quest to find East Coast style egg foo young in San Francisco.” Kobina Wright, creator and contributor of the blog, The Wrighter, is a Southern California native with a BA in Communications from California State University, Fullerton. She has written several books including “Raise the Red Teddy: A Single Mother’s Guide to Dating;” “The Hodaoa-Anibo Dictionary;” “50” and “A Crime And A Simplification of Something Sublime.” Starting next month, Wright will exhibit her installation inspired by the Hodaoa-Anibo language and Tibetan Prayer Flags, through the traveling group show titled Circus Terminal, Thailand, which exhibits November 28th through December 30th in the city of Chiang Mai.
