Energizer teams up with Them to launch Pan-European brand website

The new website, www.energizer.eu, by Them accommodates different regions’ requirements, integrates with individual markets’ social channels and has been mobile optimised and localised to 13 languages.

Nov. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- London, United Kingdom -- Energizer Europe recently launched a new website to strengthen its online brand proposition and product showcase. Energizer – one of the world’s largest manufacturers of portable power solutions, including batteries, lighting and chargers – worked with London creative agency, Them, to handle the project.

With over 30 markets in Europe, the main challenge was to create a single-minded website with the flexibility to accommodate different regions’ requirements, such as local campaigns, localised content and integration with individual markets’ social channels.

Them’s initial approach was to work closely with Energizer to analyse current user trends, strengthen the brand’s identity to better market their range of products and provide a compelling experience for Energizer’s new campaign ‘that’s positivenergy’.

The new website, www.energizer.eu, contains informative content on product benefits which has been mobile optimised and localised to 13 languages. Each region can also incorporate their campaigns, competitions and social media activity. SEO has been strongly incorporated throughout and all product pages are accessible via QR codes printed on pack shots.

Users are able to search for products by ‘best for device’ or ‘product benefit’ to support the brand’s ‘more power, less waste’ message. Other features include product recommendations, matching batteries to the right chargers and more detailed product specifications for those with precise needs.

“The result is a dynamic, easy-to-use website for consumers,” says Them’s Head of Digital, Daniel Henderson. “The overall result gives users a greater brand experience and exposure to both the full range of products and insight into the strong corporate social responsibility Energizer prides itself on across Europe. Them has successfully managed the UK digital strategy for Wilkinson Sword UK (part of the Energizer group) for the last seven years and was subsequently appointed as the lead web developer for Energizer Europe through their “thorough understanding of our digital marketing requirements,” adds Burch. “We liked how they can bring our numerous websites together to deliver a single European web presence.
