Akamas Villas Launches Recognition Awards

The awards recognise and pay tribute to local restaurants and attractions, in the Akamas Region of West Cyprus. They are wholly voted for by clients of Akamas Villas. At the end of villa stays guests are asked to state their top choices of local business with an initial focus on their favourite restaurants within the local towns of Polis and Latchi.

This year, Moustakallis Tavern and Molos Restaurant were both presented with a mounted Akamas Villas Guest Recognition Certificate, which both establishments are now proudly displaying in their respective premises.

The aim of awards is three-fold, states Martin Maynard, Founder of Akamas Villas:

“Our first and foremost aim in creating these annual awards, was to get to know our villa guests better - by finding out which attractions they enjoyed most, during their stay. We wanted to enhance the service Akamas Villas offers guests into 2013, so we could recommend the best restaurants and must-see sites to holiday-makers next year.

“Our second aim was to create competition amongst local restaurants - who all, keen to win, will no doubt keep improving their services into next year. We see this in turn improving our overall satisfaction rates, amongst clients. Lastly, the awards will strengthen our invaluable relationships with local partners, who in turn, will hopefully refer more new clients, and encourage return visits,” says Maynard.

Local business Molos Restaurant won best restaurant category in Latchi, and joint owner Costas states:

“We are delighted to win this award particularly as we are only in our second full year of trading in Latchi Harbour and we were up against a number of well established restaurants. We have met many Akamas Villas guests this year, recognised by their use of the Akamas Villas Loyalty Card. We will work hard to maintain this status in 2013.”

Andreas, the owner of Moustakallis Tavern was visibly proud of their achievement and says “This Award is a big honour for us and we will continue to work very hard in maintaining this top position next year, we have a very strong relationship with Akamas Villas and their guests and we will continue to aim for 100% customer satisfaction in all aspects of our customer service and the high quality of our product.”

Akamas Villas currently offers more than 40 bespoke holiday-rental properties, to predominately UK visitors, all in the same beautiful Akamas region of Cyprus. Bookings for the luxury travel firm in 2012 were up by 67% - compared with 2011 numbers. So far this year, Akamas Villas has also achieved an average of 89%, for overall customer satisfaction.
