Browne Jacobson doubles top rankings in Chambers UK

Nov. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- In the latest edition of Chambers the firm doubled the number of practices it is ranked as first from six to twelve, including corporate m&a, dispute resolution, employment, environment, information technology, intellectual property, private client, professional negligence, real estate, real estate litigation, restructuring & insolvency and social housing.

Browne Jacobson’s education team has achieved a top national ranking for the first time whilst the firm also raised its rankings in five other practice areas including Administrative & Public Law, Banking & Finance, Construction, Local Government and Real Estate.

Chambers UK also rates individual lawyers and once again a record number of the firm’s lawyers were rated as ‘leaders in their field’ in this year’s directory. Of the 49 lawyers rated as leaders in their field, 32 are based in the firm’s Nottingham office, 14 in Birmingham and 3 in London.

For the first time a Browne Jacobson lawyer has been identified as a leading expert in three individual fields. Peter Ware has been identified as an expert in Local Government, PFI & PPP matters and Public Procurement. Seven of the firm’s lawyers also appear in two categories: Tony Child, Barry Sully, Nick Parsons, Dominic Offord, Peter Ellis, Richard Barlow and Simon Tait.

Amongst those lawyers joining the prestigious ranking for the very first time include Ben Troke (Court of Protection), Mark Hughes (Corporate), Nina Best (Media & Entertainment), Peter Ware (Local Government), Tim Rayner (Real Estate Litigation), Kate Andrews (Real Estate Litigation) Tony Child (Administrative and Public Law) and Lucy Worwood (Private Client).
