Follow on Google News | Hearts of Houston Charity Event CancelledThank you to all of the businesses and entertainers who with no reservation supported Publicists CeCe Vance and Jennifer Simpson in their efforts to coordinate a free charity event for those who have lost it all due to Hurricane Sandy.
By: JNoS Public Relations Though The Hearts of Houston was developed and organized by Vance NYCC and JNoS Public Relations, the CEO of XCV Promotions/Bookings took it upon himself to rename the event Super Poke Sandy Relief, a parking lot car show scheduled at the same day and time as Hearts of Houston without previous consent of the coordinators of the event. He went to the extreme and headlined his clients for free publicity while featuring the publicist's celebrity clients indicating that both Publicists powered the event. Neither Publicist CeCe Vance nor publicist Jennifer Simpson consented to this have XCV change the name and scope of the event. American Red Cross approved the publication and wording of Hearts of Houston event. XCV promotions only referred the publicist to the venue. All booking arrangements to Taylor’s were made by Publicist Jennifer Simpson. Admitting that he was wrong, The CEO of XCV Promotions agreed to remove the posts from Facebook; However, The posts were not removed. Instead, the company posted slander and defamatory remarks about the publicists and encouraged the public not to support the free charity event indicating that the publicists were against the slab community of Houston which is not true. Protocol was not followed by XCV Promotions. Both firms represent professionalism and chose not to fight with XCV Promotions. All matters regarding this discrepancy have been forwarded to legal counsel for further review. Again, we thank all supporters, including Taylor's of Houston for donating their time and space. Each publicist will individually donate items to the hurricane victims. -End- End
