Rhythm & Ghetto Soul Artist (Slique) Jay Adams Nominated for the 32nd Annual Chicago Music Awards

Nov. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- More nominations are listed on the Chicago Music Awards website. The Awards ceremony will take place on January 20, 2013 at the Copernicus Center in Chicago. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the celebrity red carpet reception.

Dominion Music Group Artist (Slique) Jay Adams hails from ot only the West Side of Chicago but also from the Englewood community, a community on the Southwest side of Cook County Chicago, both commonly known for its ties to violence.  Jay states, “I want people to know that my music comes from a real place”. He wants people to understand that he is not so far removed from where he came from. Friends and loved ones who currently reside in these communities are still very much apart of his life. People can look at his story and know if he and others can make it through, that they can too. Jay Adams is an artist who still walks amongst his people and is very much involved in their lives.

His new single “P.L.E.A.S.E.” – (PEACE. LOVE. ENCOURAGE.ASSIST.SUPPORT.EVERYONE) - has topped airplay charts for Clear Channel Communications and is one that comes from the heart & soul of this artist. You can hear it and feel it in the lyrics to the song.  Its not just about stopping the violence, but a plea to find the solutions to all that is going on in this world; such as joblessness, lack of education & resources, disease and despair.  

Jay Adams is no stranger to success. His smash hits “Your Body”, “Addicted” and “Sexy Wit It”, received radio support in Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, Milwaukee, Mississippi, Sirius & XM Satellite radio and internet radio.
