‘Beer Missionary’ Drives Thirty Per Cent Sales Increase For Grain

Nov. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Norfolk’s Grain Brewery - www.grainbrewery.co.uk - is enjoying a 30% increase in sales, thanks to the work of it’s recently appointed ‘Beer Missionary’ Tom Hanna.

Since Tom’s arrival in May this year, Grain has seen its sales steadily rise across all products, with the highest increase in cask ale. Grain gave Tom his unconventional job title, to help spread the word of its award-winning beers throughout the county.

Over the last six months, Tom has successfully grown Grain’s local business as well as keeping in tune with existing customers. Tom regularly visits the pubs and restaurants throughout Norwich, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire to keep them up to date on new beers, but engages with hundreds of consumers along the way, by taking the time to debate beer styles and talk more about Grain, with drinkers in the pubs he visits.

Tom has also been able to add value to Grain’s bottle customers, through independently running free tasting days in these shops, delis and department stores. The tasting days offer consumers a chance to try the range of beers on offer, whilst experiencing the ingredients used in brewing.

“You can’t beat sitting down with friendly people and chatting over a beer, and that’s pretty much what my job is all about. I’ve been delighted so far by the brilliant feedback I’ve been getting from customers and consumers alike.” Say Tom Hanna.

You’ll find Tom cruising the countryside and towns of East Anglia in his Grain-customised Chrysler, spreading the taste of Grain throughout the region. Look out for him on the road and give him a wave!
