Match Eyewear Weathers The Storm

Dec. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Mineola, New York, November 8, 2012 – With so many homes and businesses ravaged by Hurricane Sandy, Long Island-based Match Eyewear is pleased to report that they have weathered the devastating storm with minimal disruption to daily operations and customer service.  

‘We did lose power to our main facility, but our offices were only closed for one day,’ Ethan Goodman, Match Eyewear’s President reports, ‘With the help of generators we brought in by FedEx the first day of the storm, we have been able to operate our business as usual, servicing customers, shipping orders and processing returns.  We are still running on generators today as we have been told we will not regain power for another 2 weeks.’

‘Our thoughts continue to be with those so badly affected by the storm’, Goodman continues, ‘and Match Eyewear is happy to offer any assistance to customers and industry colleagues who may need it.  This is definitely the time to stand together and help each other.’  

Goodman is quick to credit Match Eyewear employees for the company’s instant recovery and successful operation under potentially devastating circumstances.  ‘We are so grateful to our amazing staff for their loyalty and hard work during this challenging time.  Despite the impact the storm has had on each of them personally, everyone has been pitching in to make gas runs, share resources, and carpool.  The continued teamwork and willingness to do whatever it takes to keep Match Eyewear operational is really inspiring.  It’s brought us closer together as a company.’    

As the storm recovery continues, Match Eyewear looks to the future, including their upcoming move to a new and larger facility in nearby Westbury, NY.  ‘Sandy may have delayed us a bit, but everyone at Match is excited to relocate to our new main office.  It’s about 4 times the size of our current space to better service customers and accommodates our growing staff.’
