Lloyd Baggs, a well known guitar builder from California, first started making pickups back in the mid seventies after developing the idea of a transducer pickup whilst working with Ry Cooder.  He started the business in a loft in downtown Los Angeles, California, with a hope and a dream and now L.R. Baggs is one of the worlds leading acoustic pickup manufacturers. The first pickup they commercial produced was the LB6.
