Typhoon Bopha Makes Landfall in the Philippines; Mashriqq Compares Its Strength With Sandy

However, based on a report from voanews.com, his wasn't a friendly visit as it has caused massive floods and deaths in the country. According to the report, Typhoon Bopha particularly lashed out on the Southern part of the Philippines, the Mindanao Island. As it shared, it has killed nearly 400 people as of December 06, 2012. And apart from that, it has caused 400 more residents to go missing.

By Thursday, the report related the typhoon was already out of the country trailing along the South China Sea. Nonetheless, it also said that the rescue effort to help the affected residents was halted due to the power outages, destroyed bridges and washed-out or clogged roads that it left.

With all the destruction it caused and lives it took, mashriqq said that it was inevitable for others to compare Bohpa with Sandy. And given that both were much stronger than the typhoons the previous years, it added it couldn't be helped that the two were linked with Global Warming. And  as it commented, indeed Global Warming contributed to them becoming as destructive as they were.
