Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors Name Environmental Engineering Science as Its Official Journal

New Rochelle, NY—A leading scientific society of university professors throughout the world that focuses on education and research in the sciences and technologies of environmental protection, the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP) (http://www.aeesp.org), has selected the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Engineering Science as its Official Journal. Environmental Engineering Science (http://www.liebertpub.com/ees) is read around the world and is a highly respected journal that publishes impactful and consequential studies of innovative solutions to problems in air, water, and land contamination and waste disposal, and celebrates its 30th year of consecutive publication in 2013.

"This collaboration between AEESP and Environmental Engineering Science brings to fruition a long term effort on the part of AEESP to find improved avenues for promoting environmental engineering and science research” says AEESP President Mark Wiesner, Professor of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at Duke University. Outgoing AEESP President Joel G. Burken, Professor of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering, Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, MO reflects that “AEESP investigated and sought this affiliation with Environmental Engineering Science in large part as the consequence of AEESP’s strategic planning efforts and vision to best serve our members and the entire field of environmental engineers and scientist and our membership voted overwhelmingly to back this new collaboration.”

“We are embarking on an exciting, important, and meaningful relationship,” says Journal Editor-in-Chief Domenico Grasso, Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate College, The University of Vermont, Burlington, VT, “As Environmental Engineering Science aims to publish the most innovative and impactful advances in environmental science and engineering, it will become an important outlet for disseminating the cutting-edge scholarship and solutions developed by the AEESP membership.”
