Apart from this, it has been found in Global Burden of Disease study that eating too much may cause serious risk to health of individuals in compare of poorly eating populations. The reports have been published in The Lancet in its second edition.

Across the world, a significant success has been noted in tackling malnutrition in which deaths have decreased by two-third since 1990 and by 2010 it comes below one million. In countries from Colombia to Kazakhstan, the prosperity led to expanding waistline as people eat more and perform less exercise in their regular life. One of the lead authors of report and Imperial College London, global environment health’s chair Dr. Majid Ezzati has said that too much food and unhealthy food even in developing countries is making people sick.

Overall global life expectancy at birth has rose by 5 years from 1990 to 2010. Life expectancy rate for an average boy in 2010 is calculated as 67.5 and that of a girl is 73.3. Most of the years of people life spend with poor health situation. Most of the diseases increase due to obesity. Some major health problems that occur due to obesity are cancer, heart disease and type II diabetes.
