Tigo introduces Tigo Xtreme Pack via Tigo Pesa

Dec. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- With millions of Tigo Pesa transactions taking place every month across the country, Tigo is happy to announce the new service, which allows customers to buy the ‘Xtreme’ package via Tigo Pesa accounts.

“We are always on the forefront of the advent of mobile money transactions in Tanzania, and we want to give our customers convenient quality services with added benefits,” said, Goodluck Charles, Tigo’s MFS Go To Market Manager.

These benefits include an instant bonus of Tsh 450 to call all networks upon the purchase of ‘Xtreme’, additionally, subscribers can buy packs for friends, family and relatives as well as purchase other packages known as ‘Tano’ and ‘Usiku’ by simply dialling *148*80#.  

The package validity will be 24-hours for ‘Xtreme’ and ‘TANO’ packs and from 10pm to 6am for the ‘Usiku’ pack. In order to get a bonus a customer must buy ‘Xtreme Pack’ via Tigo Pesa and therefore must have a sufficient balance in Tigo Pesa account to purchase a package.

Tigo has taken major security measures on its Tigo Pesa product but would like to remind its subscribers that in addition to the tighter Tigo Pesa security measures already in place, subscribers must continue to take responsibility for the safety and protection of their PIN numbers and personal data by not revealing their PIN numbers or any personal information to anyone.
