“Sky Dancer” is back but no ducking or dodging is required.

Jan. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Do you remember that childhood toy called “Sky Dancer”?  It was a plastic ballerina figurine that could be propelled into the air via wings that extend outward after rapidly pulling a launcher attachment causing the figurine to spin and fly upwards in a wildly uncontrollable flight.  Offering young girls the thrill of seeing ballerinas flying into the sky was indeed compelling but the danger of the spinning wings and unpredictable flight paths of the toy caused injuries making it necessary to take it off the market.

The concept of  “Sky Dancer” is making a return but in a much safer motif.  Andre Price, Art Director at WallArtDeco.us, has recently published a showcase collection of ballerina art called “Sky Dancer” at SkyDancer-Ballerina.com.  While some of the imagery may have an element of danger based on the scenery, the gracefully poised ballerina and breath-taking surroundings are all 3D so it is not possible for any harm.

The combined effect of imagery portraying daring feats by a gracefully poised ballerina in the midst of a dramatic sky or skyline scenery is what movies are made of.  Via cinema, we are able to watch dramatic scenes and the portrayal of danger in awe without anyone facing any real physical danger.  Likewise, “Sky Dancer” ballerina art, although still imagery, is dramatically composed and moving.
