Treasure Island Quest Unites Imagination and Reality

Jan. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- LA JOLLA, CA, January 03, 2013 – Frogbonz, LLC. launches an experience, which combines elements of imagination and reality.  The experience is in the form of a Treasure Island Quest, where participants actually interpret a realistic treasure map and various other clues along a 1.5-mile trek. Additionally, each participant recovers an actual treasure chest hidden deep within a coastal cave at the end of the quest (in collaboration with The Cave Store).  In order to recover the chest, participants must crawl deep within crevices and sub-caves, all the while traversing stalactites, darkness, and water pools.

The ‘Quest’ commences at an undisclosed location, where wooden planks with holes are utilized to decode the map’s clues. They reveal La Jolla’s numerous geographic features such as landmarks and hinterland orientations.  The holes within the planks must line up perfectly in order to know where each participant has to route next. The treasure map is written entirely in Spanish due to the fact that it falls within historical context of the founding of San Diego. One more aspect which adds realism is La Jolla’s beautiful scenery and complimenting colonial architecture.  It truly adds to the experience.
