Nigerian Singer KUKU Lends Voice to 2013 African Cup of Nations Film

Jan. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- PARIS, France―January 10, 2013―As football fans all over the world prepare for the 2013 African Cup of Nations, a short film by the tournament's sponsor's ORANGE™ is making its' way around the web.  The television spot was directed by award-winning director, Drake Doremus, (Grand Prix Jury, Sundance Festival 2011). The accompanying music is a reprise of the legendary Liverpool Football Club anthem ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ performed by Nigerian singer and songwriter KUKU.

With music produced and arranged by Chris Canavaggio & Sean Henry of Fakir Music Paris, KUKU channels the spirit of the classic song while giving it revived emotional feel that might have some African football fans adopting it in time. The Nigerian singer's sonorous voice gently accompanies the film as it celebrates and commends the African football supporters' relentless spirit in a tale of three generations.
