The Voice's Orlando Napier releases "Pointless" on Monarchy Records

Jan. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Orlando Napier releases his latest single "Pointless" Tuesday January 15th on Monarchy Records.

International audiences know Orlando Napier from his participation on season two of the hit American NBC television series The Voice. With just a few seconds in to his audition performance, Adam Levine vied to be his coach saying, “So much of being a good singer is timing, and I felt like within the first line of the song, you just had this impeccable, really smooth timing and I was like, ‘Man, he sounds so good at this point, he’s got that thing, and so I need to have him on my team.’”

Orlando split the coaches on his Battle Round of the season with Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green pulling for him. Cee Lo said “Orlando you’ve got that Blue Eyed Soul going on, I love your inflections and you have a lot of attitude, and a lot of cool.”

Orlando began singing and playing piano seven years ago, and simply exudes his love for R&B and Soul in his work. Says Napier, “My style is old school, it’s something from the past, and it’s something that I am trying to morph into the now. It’s based on who I’ve grown up listening to, and that was the work of Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin and Al Green and The Beatles.”

Orlando has been  working on his debut album, which will  be released on Monarchy Records in 2013. Monarchy Records is a division of the Spectra Music Group.  His first single releases on Itunes and all the digital download sites on Tuesday January 15th..."Pointless" is an incredible up-tempo jam that will appeal to all music lovers, and there is nothing like it on radio today....these are the comments being said by radio programmers and critics as "Pointless" is already in rotation on several US and UK radio stations.
